When nothing limits our children’s success, the possibilities for their future are limitless.

Toyota believes all kids deserve an equal opportunity to access rewarding careers in high-growth industries—and the future of companies like ours depends on it.

In 2023, Toyota USA Foundation kicked off the national expansion of Driving Possibilities, our signature STEM education and community engagement initiative. This effort builds on decades of collaboration with Toyota operating communities to close educational gaps, build awareness of STEM careers and address essential needs.

 Quick Facts

  • Launched in 2022
  • $110 million, five-year initiative
  • The largest and most comprehensive in Toyota’s history
  • Inspired by Toyota’s collaboration in West Dallas, Texas, to create a new model of education
  • Funded by Toyota USA Foundation, Toyota Motor North America and Toyota Financial Services

National Rollout

As of July 2024, Driving Possibilities has rolled out in six U.S. communities, with plans to continue expanding to other locations where Toyota has facilities. In each community, the initiative supports students and families across the PreK-12 continuum, going deep to understand where the opportunity is greatest to increase student achievement and close gaps for underserved communities.

In addition to funding, communities benefit from Toyota’s operational know-how, volunteer efforts, mentorship and other supports.

At Toyota, we are striving always to be the ‘best in town.’ That applies not only to our great cars and trucks, but also to how we support the communities in our own backyards. Driving Possibilities is a core effort to support the educational and career aspirations of young people in those communities. We want to help pull down barriers and lift up our youth so they can compete—and succeed—in the workforce of the future.
