Talking and Listening to Stop Hate
AFTER THE ATLANTA SPA SHOOTINGS IN MARCH, THE BOARD OF TAASIA (TOYOTA ASIAN AMERICAN SOCIETY IN ALLIANCE) QUICKLY MOBILIZED TO SEE HOW THEY COULD BEST SUPPORT MEMBERS.
The board called a town hall meeting featuring Toyota Chief Diversity Officer Sandra Phillips Rogers to gather team members in a safe space and hear how the events were impacting their everyday lives.
TAASiA Talks is a speaker series that allows any team member from any level in the organization, as well as external members, to speak about a topic they’re passionate about. Its companion series, TAASiA Listens, provides a safe space for team members to discuss relevant issues in a small-group format. This unique pair of programs exemplifies how BPGs use their energy and creativity to support their members’ needs, no matter how great the challenge.
